To travel to Indonesia you need a passport valid for at least six months from the date of entry into the country and a tourist visa that can be obtained upon arrival for stays of up to 30 days.

The best time to visit Indonesia is from May to October, when it corresponds to the dry season for most of the islands. To move between the islands you can use internal planes, ships or fast boats.

To move within the islands you can use buses, trains, taxis or local means of transport such as bemo or ojek.
